Individual & Relationship Therapy

There are many ways our mental health is impacted by the systems of oppression and the world we live in. In this space, every part of you, every aspect of your identity, and every experience of yours is welcome, taken seriously, and met with genuine curiosity, compassion, and care. Together, we will find the integrity and power from within to move through a world that is not designed to take care of us.

My Focus Areas

What and Who do I work with?

  • trauma (personal, historical, ancestral and intergenerational trauma)
  • neurodivergence (autism, ADHD, hypersensitivity, and beyond - neurodivergence has many facets!)
  • queerness (gender, sexuality, identity, and queering your way of existing in this world)
  • relationships & attachment wounds (fear of loss, rejection, abandonment, or feelings of inadequacy)
  • non-monogamy and relationship anarchy (people who don't want to follow traditional societal relationship norms)
  • people who feel deeply affected by what is happening in the world (genocides, ecocide, oppression - polycrisis)
  • people experiencing grief and loss or a fear thereof
  • people who have intrusive thoughts about things deemed morally inacceptable
  • people who feel dissociated, disconnected, or numb
  • activists, organizers, and comrades who are passionate about change but may be burned out, overwhelmed, or don't know where to start
  • people who feel resistant to internal change, have tried everything, and feel hopeless about therapeutic progress
To see if we feel like a good fit working together, you can book a Discovery Session. You can also consult my session fees here.

Approach

The somatic Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach I use in sessions is the most trauma-sensitive therapeutic approach I have ever known - it offers a clear but gentle and consensual framework to understand and work with our bodyminds, and practising it has completely shifted the way I live my life. Both as a practitioner and someone who uses this approach to help their own parts heal, IFS has hugely transformed the way I exist in this world.

For people who come to work on their relationship, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy offers a way to regain and maintain closeness and strengthen security and authentic connection in relationships where people identify as having avoidant, anxious, or disorganized attachment styles. If you deeply care about and want to be with your partner, but the constant cycles you get in are exhausting and make you fear abandonment, shut you down, or cause any other behavior that keep both of you stuck in the same old patterns, EFT can profoundly help you change how you relate to each other.

From a queer-and neurodivergence-affirming, anti-oppressive, and liberation-oriented lens, these transformative approaches can guide us towards sustainable and deep-rooted change in ways that feel right to our bodies.

In this space...

  • every part of you, every aspect of your identity, and every experience of yours is welcome and met with genuine curiosity, compassion, and care. Together, we will go onto a journey that can have the power to change how you meet yourself, others, and the world around you.

  • we create a consent-based environment where your own agency is the agent of change. While I guide you gently, you decide the pace that feels safe for you to move in. With a sense of clarity and direction, we we will flow with where attention goes while respecting the wisdom of your boundaries and needs.

  • we will follow your story closely to understand your experience - and your own expertise of it. I will not position myself as an authority over your bodymind.

  • you can just be you and come as you are. You do not need to "perform" therapy here. I will show up as the full human I am - and invite you to do the same.

Parts Perspective

A Love Letter to those who need something to change

Dear Person,

You might be here because something within or around you needs to change. A part of you might feel like it's important to take a step towards transforming your life and the world we live in. Another part of you might feel hesitant or stuck in doing so. Parts of you might make you feel disconnected, frozen, or withdrawn. Other parts of you might feel enraged, desperate, or burned out. Yet other parts of you might try to manage your life to survive, intellectualize your emotions, analyse situations, please people, or take responsibility for too many things at the same time. Other parts of you might try to cope with all of this by hiding, consuming, or keeping yourself busy. Then there are parts of you that just feel like you will never be understood or able to change. Parts of you that feel like everything is just too much, and parts of you that may want out of existing in this world all together. And then there might be parts of you that you haven't even seen yet - parts that carry deep pain, shame, grief, loneliness, emptiness, or despair - parts that long to be seen, heard, loved, and truly understood.

This is an invitation to take a first step towards transforming how you live your life. Gentle and long-lasting change - without force or the pressure of achieving healing in a capitalist self-improvement sense.
This is an invitation to be guided with compassion, care, and courage from within. An invitation to be guided in navigating the complexities and battles of your life that keep you stuck and overwhelmed. A big welcome to your grief, your pain, your power. A welcome to your bodymind that of course is affected by a world in which fascism, genocides, and climate disaster is a daily reality. In this world, I welcome you to find the agency to move from within. The agency to share the treasures and boundless wisdom that live inside of you - with a world, that needs you dearly.
