Individual & Relationship Therapy

Approach

What do Sessions look like?

In this space, every part of you, every aspect of your identity, and every experience of yours is welcome and taken seriously. With genuine curiosity and compassion, I invite you onto a gentle and transformative journey that can have the power to change how you meet yourself, others, and the world around you. I will show up as the full human I am, with transparency, accountability, and my authentic presence. I aim to encourage a continuously genuine and trusting connection without you needing to "perform" for therapy in any way - you can just be you.

I will not position myself in any way as an authority over your bodymind, but rather follow your story and deeply want to understand your experience and your own expertise of it. I create a consent-based environment in sessions where your own agency is one of the many agents of change. While I guide you gently, you decide the pace that feels safe for you to move in. With a sense of clarity and direction, we we will flow with where attention goes while respecting the wisdom of any expressed boundaries and needs of yours.

The Internal Family Systems approach that I use in sessions offers a clear framework from which to understand and work with our bodymind systems for profound and long-lasting inner transformation. For people who come to work on their relationship, Emotionally Focused Therapy offers a way to regain and maintain closeness and strengthen secure attachment and authentic connection. While IFS is my main approach, I combine both approaches in sessions from a queer-and neurodivergence-affirming, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and community-oriented lens.

Focus Areas

What and Who do I work with?

  • trauma (personal, historical, ancestral and intergenerational trauma)
  • neurodivergence (autism, ADHD, hypersensitivity, and beyond - neurodivergence has many facets!)
  • queerness (gender, sexuality, identity, etc.)
  • relationships & attachment wounds (fear of loss, rejection, abandonment, or feelings of inadequacy)
  • non-monogamy and relationship anarchy (people who don't want to follow traditional societal relationship norms)
  • people who feel deeply affected by what is happening in the world (genocides, ecocide, oppression, the list is endless...)
  • people experiencing grief and loss or a fear thereof
  • people who have intrusive thoughts about things deemed morally inacceptable
  • people who feel dissociated, disconnected, or numb
  • activists, organizers, and comrades who are passionate about change but may be burned out, don't know where to start, etc.
  • people who feel resistant to internal change, have tried everything, and feel hopeless about therapeutic progress

A Love Letter for those who need Something to Change

Hello dear Person,

You might be here because something within or around you needs to change. A part of you might feel like it's important to take a step towards transforming your life and the world we live in. Another part of you might feel hesitant or stuck in doing so. Parts of you might make you feel disconnected, frozen, or withdrawn. Other parts of you might feel enraged, desperate, or burned out. Yet other parts of you might try to manage your life to survive, intellectualize your emotions, analyse situations, please people, or take responsibility for too many things at the same time. Other parts of you might try to cope with all of this by hiding, consuming, or keeping yourself busy. Then there are parts of you that just feel like you will never be understood or able to change. Parts of you that feel like everything is just too much, and parts of you that may want out of existing in this world all together. And then there might be parts of you that you haven't even seen yet - parts that carry deep pain, shame, grief, loneliness, emptiness, or despair - parts that long to be seen, heard, loved, and truly understood.

This is an invitation to take a first step towards transforming how you live your life. Gentle and long-lasting change - without force or the pressure of achieving healing in a capitalist self-improvement sense.
This is an invitation to be guided with compassion, care, and courage from within. An invitation to be guided in navigating the complexities and battles of your life that keep you stuck and overwhelmed. A big welcome to your grief, your pain, your power. A welcome to your bodymind that of course is affected by a world in which fascism, genocides, and climate disaster is a daily reality. In this world, I welcome you to find the agency to move from within. The agency to share the treasures and boundless wisdom that live inside of you - with a world, that needs you dearly.
Please note that I am a privately practising healing facilitator (german: private:r "psychologische:r Berater:in") and do not offer a medical, public, or crisis service.  If you desire reimbursement for any sessions from your health insurance, you would need to discuss the possibility of this with your insurers and then independently file for compensation <3
