I've been having therapy with Lias for over a year now. Of all 3 of my therapists I've had, Lias has exceeded tremendously. We share many of the same values and experiences. I have complete trust and a great working relationship with them; they've really made a huge difference to my life and perspectives. Flexible, kind and experienced - I cannot recommend enough. Thank you, Lias.
- Liam Lias is empathetic, attentive, and holistic in their therapeutic approach. I wish I had found a therapeutic practice like this one sooner. Our community needs the kind of healing and collaboration/guidance that Lias provides. I highly recommend Lias and Beyond Queer Therapy. - Molly |

Lias is and has been a blessing in my life since I began therapy with them a 1 year and a half ago. Their deep listening, their compassionate, consensual curiosity, they way they bridge the personal with the political and how they tend to complexity has been moving, transformative and beyond helpful for me. Safety can be hard to find within the therapeutic field when coming from marginalized communities, and Lias has proved to consistently offer that safety I have longed for in such spaces for so long. I strongly encourage everyone and especially queer, neurodivergent and/or otherwise oppressed people to consider Lias as a companion in their journey of self discovery and healing. I admire their principled work and am grateful for them everyday : ) oh, and they have a suuuper cozy space for in person sessions! - Flavia |

I started getting therapy from Lias recently, but i have felt the positive effects immediately. I needed therapy for a long time but i couldn't afford it as i am chronically unemployed and poor. Lias' comrades support programme made me feel safe in that i could continue getting therapy even if i run out of money. Another thing that kept me away from therapy were stories of abuse by therapists. Lias has a self-critical approach to the role of therapist, aware of implicit power imbalances, which makes me feel safer with them. Finally, our political views align, which is very important for me because i believe that my mental health can only be improved by someone who understands how the matrix of domination works and positions themselves against it, which Lias does.

I've been working with Lias for more than a year now and can 100% recommend them as a therapist. Not only are they pouring a lot of care and authenticity into the session space, but also facilitate with awareness to systemic and colonial implications, and truly welcome all parts. - anonymous therapy client My partner and I have been working on couples therapy together with Lias for more than a year now and it has truly transformed the way we communicate. Lias has helped us build a strong foundation and was so gentle, caring, and gave us so much space. Thank you Lias! 🙏❤️ - couples therapy client

Lias is an understanding, comforting, comfortable and very professional person to work with. They make me feel seen and heard. No topic, no thought, no feeling is being judged; my existence in all its complexity and fluidity is accepted and respected. It is my first time doing IFS and so far it has been challenging, but so so rewarding! After just a few months of therapy sessions we could work through so much deep-rooted trauma without necessarily talking about the events, which is mind-blowing to me, and I can genuinely feel things shift in my body and mind. It is incredible to see the progress happening. As a trans and neurodivergent person, I can confidently say that Lias is a safe person to be vulnerable with. I highly recommend Beyond Queer Therapy and I hope to find more people like Lias as counselors, therapist and coaches. We need healing, not fixing! - anonymous therapy client

I’ve had comrades support sessions with Lias and I am absolutely grateful for it 🦋 having someone who understands the reasons of my issues deeper than the events occurred made me feel very comfortable. Sharing the similar views about our collective struggles (which I never had at this level with my therapists before) and why they matter helped me a lot because I've felt heard and seen deeply. Having done cognitive behavioral therapy in the past did not really support me in any ways. IFS was something I was not familiar with but did really helped me to connect with myself. I feel very safe with Lias and open to talk. They are very patient and let me be exist with all my parts. - Bilal |
I have absolutely enjoyed working with Lias. Lias has an incredibly thoughtful, patient, and comforting approach to their practice and our sessions have been incredibly productive as a result. I would absolutely recommend working with Lias! - couples therapy client

I've worked with Lias in supervision and consultancy about my own careseekers/clients, and not only is their presence soothing and refreshing, their input and what they offered back has been quite eye-opening and compassionate. Highly recommend if you work in IFS or from a parts' perspective, or if you are new to it and are also curious both as a careseeker and/or fellow therapist. - David, peer consultancy client
Around one year ago I had a comrades support session with Lias and it was my first proper introduction to IFS, and since then the way i perceived and practiced healing has shifted completely as Lias showed me how much it makes a difference to have my parts held and understood in a compassionate and understanding space, instead of fixing them or changing them. This has helped me a lot in finding hope again in therapy and I'm very grateful for that :) - Yara

[...] From the beginning, there was shared ground - a queer, anti-capitalist understanding rooted in lived ethics. Because of that, I didn’t have to translate myself. I could arrive as I was. From my experience, the work takes time. It does not promise quick solutions or productivity-driven outcomes. Instead, it asks for patience, presence, and a willingness to stay with what is unfolding. Over time, I learned how to work with the process, and in doing so, how to work with myself. Lias does not impose a path. They support you in listening for your own. The work is honest and unfiltered, guided by your own rythm. There is space for silence, for confusion, for difficult truths to surface without being rushed into meaning. Over more than two years, I have done deep and meaningful work. I moved through several difficult moments of my life and began to recognise the underlying patterns shaping how I live and relate. I now meet myself with more awareness, integrity, and care. For this steady, ethical, and deeply human work, I am profoundly grateful. - anonymous therapy client

Lias has been accompanying me for some months now. They have been really patient, comforting, and attentive! It is my first time doing therapy and IFS, so I cannot compare it to other experiences. What I can say is that, through our sessions, I have been finding many shifts in how I perceive the work we do together, from me being focused on being “fixed” to being accompanied, and a shift in how I perceive myself with all my parts. They make me feel safe and supported. I deeply respect their commitment to make therapy accessible for queer, neurodivergent, marginalised, precarious folks. I would totally recommend! - Carla

Lias is a dream, I've been having sessions with them for some months now and they've truly helped me navigating life. they're compassionate, caring and respectful as well as professional [...]. I can't recommend them enough ! - anonymous therapy client
As a fellow therapist, I can confidently say that Lias is truly focused on providing the most attentive, supportive, and accessible care possible. They provide a level of attunement and a sense of space and safety that make it possible to truly explore and heal all of the tender parts of us. I highly recommend Lias for both individual and couples therapy. - Virginia

I have been working with Lias for a year now, and it has been truly comforting and confronting. I had never worked with IFS before, and it took me a bit to get used to it, but I find it an incredibly helpful approach. It is also a first for me that I share political views with my therapist, and it is so refreshing. I don't have to explain where I am coming from, and I can openly talk about how different systems of oppression shape my reality and also influence the shared space in our sessions. I feel like I can address anything about my identity in my therapeutic relationship with Lias, and I am very grateful for that. One thing that struck me in particular is how Lias practises consent in their work. We always move according to my system, and we go wherever I want to go, and if I don't want to, we don't. I've felt safe to express my boundaries without feeling guilty for them and am sure that we can always go at my pace no matter how slow that might be.
